Novelty 2022: Print version of the 1st/2nd Class passenger car of the DB in Era IV. A family of commuter cars of the German Federal Railways is referred to as a Silberling among railroad fans. The vehicles owe their name Silverlings to their stainless steel body. Over 5000 examples were built between 1961 and 1980 and could be found at DB Regio until the beginning of 2020. The cars are also often referred to as n-cars after their sub-generic sign. With the n-car, PIKO has included a type of vehicle in its range that should not be missing from practically any model railway, the subject of which is located at the Federal Railways or the DB AG. As with the original, the models also differ depending on the car class in terms of window layout and interior design, the gauges have been converted to size N in a prototypical manner. Mold making at the highest level ensures extremely three-dimensional bogies and the high-quality paintwork and printing that PIKO is known for gives the vehicles an excellent finish. The vehicles are prepared for the uncomplicated retrofitting of interior lighting.
