Description

The Schrling rail grinding train was usually formed from four rail grinding cars. The wagons were created in the 1950s by converting three-axle Prussian-style passenger wagons. In addition, the grinding wagons were provided with two adapted water wagons, which were prepared from discarded tub tenders of the type 22T 32.

The grinding trains were formed from a train of wagons as described above. The train was then pulled by powerful class 50, 41 or 44 locomotives. One locomotive was located at each end with the smoke chamber in front. This made it possible to grind the tracks in both directions without blocking the route through complex maneuvers.

Three-part wagon trains, consisting of two grinding wagons and a water wagon, were also used. Then the train was hauled by class 36 diesel locomotives at the front and rear.

The kit contains 3D printed parts, a circuit board etched from nickel silver and all other materials necessary for construction. Labeling sets for Era III as well as for Era IV are also included.

Adhesive and paints must be purchased separately. The matching water cars are also offered by Modellbahn Union.

The highly detailed, unpainted model was produced using the 3D printing process and can be processed and painted with commercially available tools and colors (e.g. with Revell Email or Revell Aqua Color).
