Description
The VT was called a new form, The savior of the branch lines. The PIKO models of the railcar and the control car embody, like their DB models, clear, functionally reliable and low-maintenance designs. The railcar model is driven by a miniature motor equipped with a flywheel. The drive acts on both axes. Since the railcars and control cars can be coupled with each other via a conductive close coupling kinematics, two additional (and thus four) axles can be used for safe power consumption when using a control car. The railcar has a PluX16 digital interface according to NEM 658 standards. The lighting functions of both vehicles can be switched separately. Despite the structural equipment of the motor coach and control car, a clear view through the passenger compartments is possible. The railcar can also be used as a prototype for transporting individual freight cars. An axle without traction tires, to be exchanged for the axle with traction tires of the VT, is included.
