Description

The Puma is an infantry fighting vehicle developed and produced by the German defense contractors Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) and Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH (RLS). The Puma is to be procured for the German army in a number of 350 vehicles and to replace the Marder infantry fighting vehicle. The original plan was 405 units for the army plus five pre-series vehicles. The first Pumas were delivered on December 6, 2010.
