Description

Graham Farish’s model captures the look of Stanier’s design perfectly, with a true-to-scale body with expertly moulded handrails, door handles, hinges and even door stops, all accurately replicated on the body sides. The LMS pattern gangways are added at either end, while end steps are fitted to the sides and a metal handrail is fitted alongside and metal buffers are fitted below. Each window is flush glazed and inside the conductor’s compartment is replicated along with the handbrake wheel. Running boards are fitted along the solebars, beneath which is vacuum braking equipment, along with the battery boxes, dynamo and other ancillary equipment. The bogies are fitted with metal wheelsets, while the standard N scale coupler is connected via an NEM coupler pocket to the close coupling mechanism fitted to the carriage floor, which works in tandem with the bogie. As with every Graham Farish model, this high level of detail is brought to life through the paintwork, using authentic colors, logos and fonts, making each model a masterpiece in miniature.
