Description
The C55 is a steam locomotive that was launched in 1935 as a successor to the C51 and features a modernized appearance compared to earlier steam locomotives of the same form.
The Type C55, which belonged to the Asahikawa Locomotive Depot, was used in later years to haul passenger trains throughout the Soya Main Line. All cars were taken out of service around the fall of 1974.
