Description
The Culemeyer (road scooter) is a vehicle trailer for transporting railway cars and heavy loads on the road; he was developed in 1930 by Johann Culemeyer, Reichsbahn Oberbaurat in the Central Office Berlin, for the German Reichsbahn Society (DRG). Our model is the first used by the DRG type and is a two-piece 16-wheel road scooter Culemeyer-style. It consisted of two single frames with two axles and eight solid rubber tires. The frames were connected by an adjustable guide rod and had a lowering device to lower the loaded cars at transport height. This 1932 built 16-wheeled road scooter had a load capacity of 31 tons. In 1935, the lowering device was discontinued and its load capacity increased from 31 tonnes to 40 tonnes. ,
The highly detailed, unpainted model was produced in 3D printing and can be processed and painted with standard tools and colors (eg with Revell Email or Revell Aqua Color).
