The locomotive 01 150 was delivered in 1935 with the factory number 22698 by the Henschel & Sohn locomotive smithy in Kassel. It initially earned its money in hard work on the low mountain routes in Hesse and Thuringia – from Bebra. It remained true to its Hessian homeland for thirty years. Darmstadt, Hanau, Frankfurt/M, Wiesbaden and Giessen were its stations and the main lines on the Rhine and Lahn, over the Spessart heights and the Wetterau were its territory. It was decommissioned in November 1973 in Hof.
