From 1941 onwards, the Uerdingen Waggonfabrik built over 3,700 lightweight tank wagons together with a number of other companies such as MAN. The two-axle wagons had a capacity of 30m3. In the course of the Second World War, the wagons came to almost all European railway administrations and, like in Germany, were still used in some cases until the early 2000s.
