These vehicles were developed in the late 1950s as a service vehicle for superstructure inspectors and Bahnmeistereien. The production began around 1950 in the research and development work of the DR in Blankenburg (Harz). The switchyard Kirchmser continued this later. The body is made of aluminum. The engine used was the engine, transmission and axles of the Trabant P50, built at the same time. They offered space for 3 people. Later, hydraulic turning devices were retrofitted.
