Description
New for 2025: A pair of DB rebuilt coaches with prototypical Era IV livery and lettering, consisting of a 1st and a 2nd class carriage. Starting in the mid-1950s, the Deutsche Bundesbahn (German Federal Railway) converted regional railway compartment coaches into two passenger coach series, known as “rebuilt coaches.” Unlike the original, the PIKO models of the three-axle rebuilt coaches do not use existing parts. The coaches are completely new designs. The scale vehicles reproduce the original down to the smallest detail. Individually applied grab rails are just as much a part of the contemporary design as flush, crystal-clear windows and detailed interior fittings. The meticulous design continues on the floor of the coaches, which impresses with, among other things, free-standing wiring and delicate brake rods. Like the original, the N rebuilt coaches are also available in stores as close-coupled pairs and feature a prototypical spacing between the coaches.
